DJ Muldoon Electric Sessions

Kickstarting his week with the Electric brand, State-side education guru DJ Muldoon took to the Electric Studio for an informal interview with Mark Woolley about his career development, educational ethics and inspiration. Following this, the Electric Art Team assisted DJ in presenting a live look-and-learn segment using street-cast models; DJ showcasing a modern take on the 5 Point Cut with a graduated bob, with Mark’s presenting his signature broken weight line effect.

“It’s a terrific opportunity to present in the UK with Mark and his Art Team; we have similar philosophies and I love the teams work and educationally focused ethics. This is my second appearance at an Electric Session and the intimacy and closeness of the audience is a real buzz.  My philosophy is that knowledge destroys fear, and nights like this cement how I feel” explains DJ Muldoon.

A teacher for the past 20 years; initially with the Sassoon family before opening his own academy - The Factory - DJ travels the world sharing his knowledge and skills via sell-out shows and seminars.

The Electric Sessions continued with presentations from the Electric Art Team demonstrating their SS18 hair trends for the audience to learn and adapt for in-salon use.

From hair colour trends to at-home styling tips for salon customers, the team demonstrated stunning looks from mocha with rose gold hues colouring techniques, reflective textured finishes on metallic effect looks, to strong bobs to create high shine lines, strong disciplined finishes and editorial waves.

To close the night, Mark Woolley and DJ Muldoon took to the stage to unveil the selects from a collaborative photographic shoot that is set to launch later this year.
