Clients are asking more and more for the sleek, smooth wave for a glamorous look after having their tresses treated in our salons. The key to this look is having a seamless wave all the way round the hair.
Here's a step by step to creating the look:
After washing hair, towel dry and work a product with good hold into your damp hair, through the mid-lengths and ends.
Use a product such as Electric Smoothing Cream or Kerastase Forme Fatale
When drying the hair, the key is to keep it smooth, so use a Denman Paddle brush to dry brushing through as you dry, choose your parting and keep the dryers nozzle pointing downwards to promote smoothness.
Using clips, make clean sections in the hair. Use a wand and start to create quite tight curls - make sure you can repeat the same sized curl on each section of hair.
Use a wand like the GHD Curve Creative Curl Wand or the Cloud 9 Waving Wand
Once one section is completely curled with the wand, use a soft brush like the D82 Denman brush to smooth the curls out into a wave. Repeat Step 3 & 4 until the whole of the hair is brushed out into soft waves.
Smooth down the roots with the soft brush and work a tiny drop of serum through to the mid lengths. Use a strong hold hairspray like L'Oreal Professionnel Techni Art Fix Design Spray through the ends to keep the waves in tact.
